Useful Information and Tips for Traveling Around Zaragoza
- The Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar (Catedral-Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar) is an impressive and beautiful site that is free to enter. We were thankful for this and donated two euros as we always do for churches that do not charge entrance fees. This cathedral is huge and a must-see.
- "Sabor a España" is a delightful spot for sampling traditional Spanish treats. Be sure to get the Almendro Cubits, especially the caramel flavor – they are incredibly good!
-
Visit the historic town of Belchite, known for its Spanish Civil War history. Enjoy an Olive Oil Tour to see how olive oil is made and taste local oils.
-
You can also take a tour to the amazing Bardenas Reales desert from Zaragoza. We didn’t go, but it’s known for its beautiful and unique landscapes.
-
Parking de la Plaza de Toros is a convenient and reliable parking facility. We parked here and paid 10.80 euros; its central location makes it an excellent choice for visitors.
