You can witness 200 carps of 15 different types swimming in Ojiya. This place is famous for producing the best kind of Japanese koi fish called "nishikigoi." These koi fish are big and have unique colors, often compared to living art pieces. Traditional nishikigoi are typically white with spots of orange, red, and black, but there are also famous gold varieties.
